This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how OVE, Inc. (“OVE”, “we”) collects, uses and shares consumer health data under Washington’s My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar state laws. It applies to the OVE app, the OVE® Sensor and the OVE Sensor app.
1. What consumer health data we collect
Fingerprint templates. A template is an encrypted set of numbers made from your fingerprint. We never store fingerprint images.
2. Why we collect it and how we use it
Only to provide the service you asked for: to confirm it’s you when you pay or show who you are with OVE, and to protect your account from fraud. We never use it for advertising, profiling or training of any kind.
3. Where it comes from
- From you, when you add your fingerprints with an OVE Sensor connected to your own phone, after you give your Biometric Consent in the OVE app.
- From an OVE Sensor at a business, when you touch it to pay or show who you are. The business never stores it.
4. What we share and with whom
We share fingerprint templates only with service providers that host and process them for OVE, under written contracts that limit them to that purpose. We don’t share them with affiliates. Businesses never receive your fingerprint data, only whether you were verified.
We never sell consumer health data, and we don’t use geofences around places where people get health care.
5. Your rights
- Know whether we have your consumer health data and see it.
- Get the list of the service providers we share it with.
- Have it deleted, including from our service providers.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
6. How to make a request
Email support@ovetouchngo.com from the email on your OVE account. We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we’ll tell you, up to 45 more days.
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We answer appeals within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General.
